You know, I want to solve the US problem of gendered language by
selling them another language. Sice a brand new language is too
expensive (also Mr. Clinton doesn't seem to be too eager to spend
public money for culture), they could be content with an used
language. I do not think the French wish to get rid of French (they
defend it so resolutely), German is too complicated and expensive
(and it could be the language of Eurpean Community, even if the
Germans do not like the idea), so Italian could be a good
alternative. Besides, it seems that most Italians are not interested
in their language anymore, because the speak it so badly that
sometime they just seem foreigners speaking Italian.
