Signori Nicola ? ( My Italian is not as good as your french :-) )
Sure, I want the stars too, and I want them now. Because if we wait too
much I won't be part of the fun...
The real problem is that to get in space, you need fuel, you need money.
And right now, the world is only interested in very short term money.
What we should be doing is trying to convince as many people as possible
that we can make money by exploiting space.
The only reallistic wauy to do do this is to stop speaking of the stars.
When you speak of the stars, nowadays, you are seen as some kind of
deranged poet and nobody will take what you say seriously.
If you say : we need a strong space program because I want to reach the
stars, or least try as hard as possible, nobody will listen to you.
But if you say : I have an idea to make more money than you ever dreamed
of making, then you will find people willing to listen to you.
That is the tactic used by Colombus when he set sail to discover America.
He promised riches without end, came back almost empty handed, but told
so many tales of the incredible money that was laying in the Americas
that he launched a very powerful movement of emigration that lasted more
than three centuries...
If you remember well, in the Heinlein stories about the Moon, it was
economy that powered space conquest.

"When you're young, you look at television and think, There's a
conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get
a little older, you realize that's not true. The networks are in business
to give people exactly what they want. That's a far more depressing
thought." - Steve Jobs (1996)
