Subject: USGS Library
Apologies if you've either seen this item or having seen it are doing
something about it.
Having just read an item in nature regarding the USGS and the imminent
massacre (that is my opinion) that it is going to occur to it, I urge you
all whether you are users or not to express some sort of opinion of
outrage at what is about to happen to it.
For those of you not sure of what I am talking about, I point you towards
the issue of the 17th of April of Nature discussing the imminent library
cuts of the USGS library. As one who has just begun to use it as a
service and has received excellent results I am appalled at the
implications of the cuts that are being mooted.
Again apologies to those whom this might be irrelevant but just could not
believe what I was reading.
