I have just completed marking up an 1867 page finding aid
in EAD that started life as two large databases (one
describing the record groups, subgroups, series and
subseries in the collection and a second database listing
all of the related folder titles and their box and folder
numbers). Everything went very smoothly, and the document
parses and displays cleanly.
However, I have some supporting information that I would
like to add to the guide and I cannot figure out exactly
where/how to tag it.
The collection is comprised of the records of a large civil
rights law-firm (MALDEF).. In addition to the two source
databases listed above, there is a third database
describing the various cases that MALDEF worked on. This
database includes such information as Case title, case
docket no., court in which the case was tried, a narrative
description of the case, as well as a list of the
supporting and opposing counsels.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to tag this
information. It does not seem to fit well into the ADD
tag, though since I have not used the ADD much, I may not
be seeing some obvious solution.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Steve
