FLICC Meeting Announcement 97-28
Internet Brown Bag Discussion Series
Internet Interest Group Organizational Meeting
The Internet creates opportunities and challenges for both librarians and
their patrons. Would you like to talk to other librarians about their use
of internet for reference? For collection development? For acquisitions?
How do others review web sites for inclusion on their home pages? What
browser issues have you run into? What kind of internet training are you
providing and for whom?
These are just some of the questions and issues mentioned on the fedlibit
listserv that you would like to discuss with colleagues. To provide a
forum for this information exchange, FLICC's Information Technology
Working Group is sponsoring an Internet Brown Bag Discussion. Depending on
the response to this meeting, FLICC may create a continuing special
interest users group. This Brown Bag session will also focus on the need
for such a users group, what areas to cover, and who might sponsor future
programs, and other organizational matters.
