I can remember the exact night when Lost in Space premiered. I was in the
5th grade. I could hardly STAND IT until it came on! I remember with great
clarity the opening sequence with the spaceship and even the music. I loved
it. Yes, I agree it was fairly serious and pretty good during the first
season, but quickly deteriorated into silliness (much like the short-lived
series "Logan's Run". Anyone remember that?). I hope that the new LIS movie
is good, but it will be hard not to want to see Dr. Smith and Billy Mumy
again, not to mention Ruth Martin (smile) and Angela Cartwright (who, BTW,
also appeared in an episode or two of Logan's Run). And I think that Dr.
Robinson (Zorro!) is dead now, isn't he?
