Apologies to those for whom this is a duplicate; I'm forwarding from the
Archives listserv.  I imagine that this response to SGML-only finding
aids from someone in the archives community is only scratching the
surface of the broader response from the web-browsing community.  I think
that it highlights the care with which we need to approach building
use-based delivery systems if EAD is to be an effective descriptive and
access tool for archival repositories.

Kim,

I just did the same thing and discovered that you need Panarama to view the
EAD finding aids.  You can download PanaramFree for free but I think it had
some disclaimers that doesn't make it useful.  The other Panarama will cost
something but I didn't bother to find out the cost.  I clicked around until
I found the finding aids in plain old HTML.
