Just saw an original episode of Star Trek, and caught an amusing
anachronism. Spock is preparing to beam Kirk down to the surface, and he
opens a communications channel to Uhura (sp?) who gives him the co-ordinates
vocally. They can beam people through walls and across thousands of miles,
but their computers can't transmit a ten digit number from the bridge to the
transporter room?
