Dear American Memory Fellows,
By now, all of you should have received your stipend (at least that's what
the Accounting Unit at LC says).  In fact, most of you received it with no
problem some time ago.  Despite the flurry of email about the stipend, it
was a relatively small group that experienced problems (apologies to all of
you!).  Part of the problem was the new procedure of payment by electronic
funds transfer -- required by law of all government agencies effective this
summer.  The Accounting Unit assures us that glitches have been corrected,
and all payments should have been transferred by now.  If you still have
