Hi all!
It's great to hear what others are doing. Makes me want to toss aside
everything else that's in my face and get into our project full time. Barb
and I keep developing and adding and fussing so that our written lesson
plan is longer, but not in any kind of shape to share yet. It's good to
know that showtime is nearly upon us so we'll stop twiddling. Port of
Entry is wonderful. I got to use it with a distance education class at our
graduate school of librarianship last night. The techies copied it onto
the server and students from New Hampshire to Montana followed along while
I talked about teenagers' use of primary sources. The professor and I
spoke to them using RealAudio and they wrote back in chat sessions. We
sent them off into different chat rooms to talk about one of the photos.
It was a real trip.
A couple of questions:
Am I hallucinating or has the Institute Web page lost the stuff that was
added this fall? All those forums... I'm using the same bookmark, but it
takes me back to the previous setup.
Barb and I are presenting at the Illinois School Library Media Association
conference in a few weeks. In our promo, we promised we'd mention what
other projects were like. Does anyone have any ready-to-go URLs they don't
mind sharing?
Thanks! Frances
