FLICC Orientations to National Libraries and Information Centers Series
National Agricultural Library
As part of a series of orientations to national libraries and information
centers, FLICC is offering an opportunity for federal librarians to become
better acquainted with the National Agricultural Library (NAL) services.
The program will include:
Brief video
Tour of NAL
Demonstrations of NAL developed CD-ROM products and World Wide Web site

Place
The National Agricultural Library is located at the intersection of
U.S. Route 1 and Interstate Route 95 (Beltway Exit 25A-North),
Beltsville, Maryland, 15 miles northeast of Washington, DC. The address
is: 10301 Baltimore Blvd., Beltsville, MD 20705-2351. The Library is a
14-story building on the grounds of USDA's Beltsville Agricultural
Research Center (BARC). Visitor parking is accessible from either Route
1 or Rhode Island Avenue. Bus transportation is available via the
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority system (Metro). For

Registration
Free, but advanced registration required. Call the FLICC office to
register: (202) 707-4800. Interpreting services for the deaf and
hearing impaired are available if requested five (5) business days in
advance of the event.
Cancellations
Registrants who find they are unable to attend should notify FLICC at
(202) 707-4800 to allow those on the waiting list to register.
Future Tours
Other orientation tours will be scheduled throughout 1998, including
the Library of Congress, Government Printing Office, National Archives
and Records Administration I & II, National Technical Information
Service, Defense Technical Information Center, the Smithsonian
Institution Libraries, and the National Library of Education.
