The Brooklyn Historical Society is looking for a part-time
assistant archivist to work on a grant project for the Society's archives
and manuscript collection. Responsibilities include: entry of collection
information into database management system, arrangement and preservation
of archival collections as well as updating and creating inventories.
Candidate must have a knowledge of database management software and
Wordperfect, as well as knowledge of the fundamental principals of
archival arrangement and cataloging. Students or graduates of an ALA
accredited MLS program may apply. The assistant archvist postion will
begin December 1st and consists of 25 hours a week at $15.00 an hour.
