Jacqueline L. Conner will become the director of the Multistate Center
East in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 3, 1997. She succeeds Kenneth E.
Beckel who is retiring after serving for five and a half years.
Ms. Conner was the director of Sales and Marketing/Auxiliary Services
for the Clovernook Center in Cincinnati for five years and served for two
years as facilities manager of Support Services at Santen & Hughes, also
located in Cincinnati. She has extensive experience in sales, service,
product development and marketing, and facilities management.
She has a BA in English from Boston College, an MBA from Xavier
University, and an M.Ed. from Northeastern University in Boston.

_Conner Succeeds Beckel at Multistate Center East_
The Clovernook Center/Opportunities for the Blind has named Jackie
Conner as director of the Multistate Center East. She succeeds Kenneth E.
Beckel, who is retiring after serving as director for five and a half years.
Before assuming her new position, Jackie served five years as director of
Sales and Marking/Auxiliary Services for the Clovernook Center, and two
years as facilities manager of Support Services at Santen and Hughes. She
has a BA in English from Boston College, an MBA from Xavier
University, Cincinnati, and an M.Ed from Northeastern University in
Boston.
Jackie has vast experience as a Market Researcher and will bring this
experience along with her excellent qualifications as an administrator to
the position.
Ken Beckel retired effective October 31, 1997, and will devote his time to
his family and other pursuits such as woodworking, Habitat for Humanity,
and his local church.
