Dear American Memory Fellows --
Here's a reunion opportunity -- we'd like to get a group together at the
National Council for the Social Studies Conference in Cincinnati, November
21-23. There will be a group of us from the Library staffing an exhibit
booth in the convention center (Booths 510/512). Judy Graves, Betty Brown,
and I will be there, along with Lisa Alexander who was on maternity leave
last summer during the Institute. I propose a happy hour and/or dinner on
Saturday, November 22 after the exhibit floor closes at 5:00 p.m. But I
need feedback from others of you who are going. So...
Send me an email ([log in to unmask]) -- not to this list -- and let me know if
you're coming to NCSS and are interested in participating in a get-together.
I'll gather responses and get back to you. I contacted Paul Filio and
Carolyn Kindle (Fellows from Cincinnati) about potential restaurants near
the convention center, but haven't heard back from them yet -- so any
suggestions you have would be appreciated, too.
And any of you who would like to join us in the exhibit booth are welcome!
We'll have two computers set up with Internet access, so if you want to show
any of your work, you'll have easy access. We'll also be demo-ing the Port
of Entry diskette on Immigration, and giving copies of it away, too. And if
you'd like to pick up more brochures, our beautiful new updated brochures
will be unveiled there.
Looking forward to seeing some of you soon!
Martha
