What it means is that Amazon is being annoying. For some reason, Amazon
frequently seems to list stand-alone novels as volume 1 when there is
absolutely no indication, or reason to believe, that the book will ever
be followed by a volume 2.
Lethem's four books, each completely independent of the others, include:
Gun, With Occasional Music
Wall of the Sky, Wall of Fire (or something similar, a collection of
