I concur, it was a very nice effort. I've always liked Peter Boyle.
The f/x are low-key so if eye-candy is required I wouldn't bother.
The movie is based, without subtlety, on Zimmerman's classic High Noon.
Connery takes Gary Cooper's role, Grace Kelly is replaced by an older,
bored, irrascible corporate doctor who works with Connery unvovering the
company's use of drugs to get higher productivity out of colonial
miners.
Peter Boyle is the bad guy who hires thugs to take out Connery.
It's pretty unevenly directed. The script contains some interesting
elements but often falls back to High Noon. Sets and costumes are
unremarkable, though much more plausible than many costlier films.
Abyway, it's worth a look, IMHO.
