Read those credits more carefully and you will discover that WHITE DWARF
was executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola and was an original written
by the guy who did WILD PALMS. The film was an unsuccessful pilot, and
personally, though it had a good look and a lot of talented people, I
thought it stunk. It combined vastly different periods and technologies
together willy-nilly, so that a rocketship traveller disembarks and boards
a stagecoach which takes him to a Victorian sanitarian. One half of the
planet is always day; the other half always night. The science was
non-existant, the characters cardboard and clich=E9. If you like that sort o=
f
fantasy, you can find better books.
