There is an expanded edition that plays on television and is available on
laser in Japan. However, it is not a director's cut as Lynch does not
approve of it. (He even took his name off of it as both writer and
director). DUNE was shot 2.35 and has been released widescreen on tape for
$14.95. If you want a widescreen laser, one is coming as well, but the
expanded edition thus far remains commercially unavailable in this country.
