Although I enjoyed Red Mars, my enjoyment of the series decreased with
each subsequent book. I found few of Robinson's characters to be
likable, many of his situations unrealistic, and, for all their
complexity, his politicals situations simplistic. In my review of Blue
Mars (http://www.sfsite.com/~silverag/reviews.html), I briefly discuss
my feelings about Red & Green Mars as well. In my opinions, this
trilogy is one of the most overrated series in recent history.
I do quite enjoy some of Robinson's earlier work, like Icehenge, Escape
from Kathmandu and many of his shrort stories.
