Serendipity again.
While looking for something else, I found these texts written by
eighth-graders in Minnesota.
This is clipped from the introduction:
Juleen Trisko-Schneider's eighth grade English
class recently took a look into the past as part of
a joint writing project between Northome School
and the Duluth News -Tribune. In its quest to
discover the past, the class interviewed members
of the surrounding communities who shared their
memories of the past.
The purpose of the project was to provide students
with an opportunity to use primary sources to gather
information about their local community. They then
used that information to compose local history stories.
The result:
"Eighth graders take a peek into Northome's past"

Have a safe and happy holiday.
