Yes! We have been using Isite to index and present our EAD finding aids for
a while now (see at
http://www.bampfa.berkeley.edu/search/collectionguides.html) and I have
tweaked a few files within Isite before compiling it to optimize use with
the EAD (some are the same you mention; SGMLNORM).
I would offer you our compiled Isite binary, but it would probably be best
for you to get the tweaked files, then compile on your own
platform/machine. If you like I can email you those files, and further, for
the larger group; would it be useful for me to donate these
"files-that-make-Isite-work-better-with-EAD" to the EAD ftp site at the
Berkeley Sunsite (or another site)? An accompanying text file could explain
how we went about it. If this would be useful I'll do that instead.
I'm keen to keep in touch with anyone else using Isite for EAD, so we can
share resources just like this. Ciao!
