JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Library: Systems Librarian. The University of Tennessee at Martin invites
applications for the position of Systems Librarian at the Paul Meek
Library.
Responsibilities: to manage and maintain the library's Innovative
Interfaces system; provide leadership, training and technical expertise in
the selection, development and implementation of new information
technologies and their
library applications; work closely with the computer center in the
installation,
maintenance and operational support of library computers; provide leadership
in developing and maintaining CD-ROM LANs and standalone workstations;
develop Internet, network and Web-based applications.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS; management experience with integrated
computer systems and networking; documented evidence of successful
management of computer system projects, including experience in
troubleshooting hardware/software problems; demonstrated knowledge
of local area networks, CD-ROM LANs, MARC and OCLC record strucures,
and Web design/support skills; excellent oral, written and interpersonal
skills. Preferred: Experience with Innovative Interfaces systems.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits: Tenure
