BY THE U.S. OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT (OPM). NON-STATUS APPLICANTS WILL

DUTIES: Serves as the Department's Legal Information Manager managing the
Office of the General Counsel's legal information program and policies.
Establishes policies, projects and goals for long-term planning of the
information and dissemination program of the Law Library, initiating plans
and administering programs and activities associated with the development and
maintenance of the office systems used for organizing and assessing legal
information in the practice of law for the Department (i.e., administrative
law, contracts, personnel, ethics, international trade, environmental law,
patents and trademark, intellectual property, constitutional law, and
telecommunications law).
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must meet one of the following basic requirements:
a) completion of all the requirements for a Master's degree or two (2) full
academic years of graduate study in library science in an accredited college
or university OR b) alternative requirements outlined in OPM's Qualification
Standards (Handbook X-118. Education may be substituted for experience as
outlined in OPM's Qualification Standards (Handbook X-118). In addition,
applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13level in the Federal service which has equipped the applicant with the
particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties
of this position. Non-government applicants should have experience at
approximately the $55,969 salary level.
