The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC has a work-study/
scholarship program for masters students in Library Science. It is called
the GLP (Graduate Library Preprofessional) program. (I just began the
program myself.) It involves a complete tuition remission and a small
stipend as a salary for working 35 hours a week in one of the
University's libraries. Once accepted to the school, you can be
considered for this position. To apply you fill out an application which
is much like a regular job application.
For more information, contact:

Hope this helps, good luck to your friend!!
