I just have been starting study EAD, and I have a few questions.

If I have an archive tagged with EAD markups, and want to perform
queries on it, how could I do it?

If this archive is stored on a RDBMS or ODBMS, and if I would send queries
to it via a WWW client, does EAD give me a standard way to do this?

My idea is to display a table of content on client and, when users
wants to expand one level of the archive tree, to translate this
event in a query to the remote  DBMS server and obtain only the part
of the document contained in the first level of the sub-tree
expanded. Is this a good idea?

Has anyone in the EAD community had the same problem (i.e. access to
a remote DBMS in a standard way via WWW) to resolve?
