The relationships between SGML/XML and relational and object oriented
databases have received some coverage on the XML-DEV list; archives are
available at http://www.lists.ic.ac.uk/hypermail/xml-dev/.
Several XML books also discuss this issue. These too have been
discussed in recent messages on that list.
