The Law Librarians' Society of Washington, D.C. (LLSDC) is
sponsoring INEX '98 (INformation EXplosion 1998), an information
exposition at the Washington Convention Center on Tuesday, April
14, 1998, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Besides a wealth of
vendor demonstrations throughout the day there is free food
(continental breakfast at 8:30, free pizza with LLSDC business
meeting at noon) and a number of programs.
For instance at 9:00 there is keynote speaker Nina Totenberg,
legal correspondent for the National Public Radio. Other
speakers include Don MacLeod, author of "The Internet Guide for
the Legal Researcher", Roberta Schaffer, speaking on the future
of the law library profession, J.O Wallace, speaking on accessing
Congressional information on the Internet, and others.
At 4:00 (Room 37) the Federal Law Librarians' Special Interest
Section will have a business meeting for planning purposes and
electing a new officer.
The vendors are free and program side costs $15 for everything.
