Source of EAD finding aids
Massimo,
There are two activities going on concurrently: conversion of
existing paper finding aids and creation of new ones in SGML.
In the ideal world, there would be one instance of EACH finding
aid, marked up in EAD SGML. Style sheets should handle all on-demand
output requirements -- a style sheet for on-line display, a style
sheet for a paper copy, one for a Braille version, ... Changes would
then be made in only one place.
I am not sure if any of us are living in that ideal world yet, but
that is the goal!
Ricky
