U.S. GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), an agency
of the United States Government, seeks qualified applicants for
entry level professional positions. Successful candidates will
participate in a comprehensive training program designed to
prepare them for a career as a fully functioning staff member with
the agency.
DUTIES: Selected candidates receive on-the-job training in the
life cycle of Federal and/or Presidential records and the
implications of modern recordkeeping. Assignments will introduce
the selectees to the full range of functions performed in order to
identify, accession, maintain, and make available the permanently
valuable and noncurrent records of the Federal government.
SALARY: Starts at GS-7 (currently $26,532 annually) and increases
to GS-9 (currently $32,457) after one year; upon successful
completion of a 2-year training program, trainees are promoted to
GS-11 (currently $39,270).
