I am investigating the possibility of writing an article for Library
Software Review that would deal with the selection of inexpensive
library automation software for the small library. The article, as I
envision it, would comprise a number of smaller sections from a variety
of libraries that have recently investigated and selected one of these
inexpensive packages. If your library has done this in the last year or
so, would you be interested in being represented in such an article?
You would not necessarily have to do any of the writing (unless you
wanted to). There have been so many inquiries of late about this kind
of software, that I thought it would be of interest to see just what
libraries had chosen which software packages and for what reason. So,
if any of you out there fall into this category, I would appreciate it
if you would contact me. I am also contacting Magaret Holland, who
recently coordinated the library automaton survey, for some of the
listserves. Thanks.
