The Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC) will hold its
semiannual meeting for participants and other interested persons on
Sunday, June 28th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Mumford Room at the Library
of Congress, James Madison Memorial Building (6th floor). In honor of
CONSER's 25th anniversary, the meeting will focus on CONSER's
achievements and current activities. Jean Hirons, CONSER Coordinator,
will provide an entertaining review of CONSER's past and future. A
panel comprised of CONSER participants and other librarians -- Cecilia
Leatham (University of Miami), Mechael Gago (Indiana University), and
Jennifer O'Connell (EBSCO) -- willl review the value of the CONSER
database to cataloging and adjunct services.
In addition, Brian Schottlaender (UCLA and PCC Policy
Committee chair) will share information regarding developments in
other areas of the Program's activities, and John Byrum (Library of
Congress) will provide a brief update from the operational vantage
point.
