I'm not sure I've heard anyone mention his name on this list, and after
reading one of his novels, Man O' War, I'm not even sure we'd all
consider his stuff SF.
Actually, when I first endeavored to read Shatner, it was purely out of
curiosity as to how well the beloved Captain Kirk could write fiction.
I meant to read one of the Tek novels first, but I happened upon Man O'
War instead, so I read it, and wasn't really impressed. His characters
seemed shallow and chauvinistic, and the science was a bit mushy, to say
the least.
Has anyone read any of the Tek series? Are they any good, or at least
better than what I picked up?
