At the University Library of Amsterdam we are planning to produce an
electronic version of the scientific journal 'Contributions to Zoology'.
We have decided to prepare the electronic journal in SGML and
make it available trough html and sgml on the Web.
In producing the electronic journal we hope to achieve the SGML in a
greater part through an automated process with scripts and macros.
We want to make use of a standard DTD, and eventually modify this DTD to
our purposes.
The standard DTD's we consider are the ISO 12083 article DTD or the
Elsevier article DTD.
I would like to find out what the experiences has been from people using
this DTD's or what they think about these DTD's. Or if they now another
standard DTD which is suitable for electronic journals in the natural
sciences
Please respond to my own e-mail address and not to the list. I will
summarise the responses.
Many thanks in advance. Regards,
Renze Brandsma
