Dear Fellows, CCT Staff, and NDL staff
As always, I have been very proud of being a part of this project from its
inception. I have learned so much and have been inspired by being involved
with the NDL and the American Memory Fellows. Much of my work with CCT and
the NDL inspired me to co-found a new media company called Clio Inc.,
Visualizing History. Our founders and associates are PhD's in history and
we specialize in taking our history expertise into new media projects and
documentary films. My experience with working with you all has been an
important part of what I find exciting about the field of education and new
media.
I will miss being a part of the festivities this year in D.C., though I feel
honored to have been participating in the on-line dialogue. On a personal
note, in the coming weeks I expect to be having a baby so that is one of my
projects in the weeks ahead. I always will find time for the Fellows
Institute though and plan to continue my relationship through the web site.
The fellows over the last two years have been so impressive and the LOC and
CCT staff are a joy to work with. Good luck and have fun in the coming
workshop week. Thank You all for the opportunity to be a part of this
project, and I look forward to keeping in touch. Best, Jeanne Houck
