Saving Private Ryan could pay their debt off with 20 cent dollars and still
make money. I'm not sure how much it cost to make, but it is consistently
pulling in huge crowds to the Cinema where I work at. This is its third
weekend, and it's still our best-selling film by far. It's still selling out
our two biggest theatres during prime-time showings. It's going to make a lot
of money. I'm guessing at minimum a $200 million domestic box office. It's
made 104 million dollars in 17 days.
Oh, BTW, my $175-190 million prediction for Armageddon last month appears to
on target. It cleared $5 million this weekend to bring its total to around
$170 million.
