Hi to all,
I downloaded the EAD 1.0 files and, I have some questions to ask.
Is the new attribute 'xpointer' the substitute of the old 'ext.ptr'
inside the <extref> tag?
Does it have more or less features than the old one, and eventually,
what?
Could it be initialized with an URL and, in this way, could this URL
contain an invocation of a CGI executable file? (e.g.
xpointer="http://hostname/cgi.bin/foo?par1&par2").
Wath is the role of the new <runner> tag, expecially inside the
<archdesc> tag?
Because <archdesc> and <c> are similar for some aspects, why <runner>
isn't included into the <c> tag?
Thanks for your time,
Massimo Castellacci
