Nobody should feel badly about not guessing that Riddley Scott intends you
to see Deckard as a replicant. The scriptwriters and others working on the
film really opposed this point of view, and he made the pointers extremely
subtle. It makes hash of the film by rendering the struggle pointless, and
is certainly a violation of Dick's plot. I think it's best ignored except
by people who like to pick out subtle inconsistencies in films.
