FLICC Orientations to Federal Libraries and Information Centers Series
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
As part of a series of orientations to federal libraries and
information centers, FLICC is offering an opportunity for federal
librarians to become better acquainted with National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) services. The program will include:
* Tour of Library
* Special Collections
* Photo Library
* Web Sites and Services
Date: Thursday, January 21, 1999
Time: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Place: NOAA--1315 East-West Highway, 2nd floor, Silver Spring, MD

Directions: Main Entrance--Elevator to 1st floor; check at Guard Desk
to go to 2nd floor
Metro: Silver Spring (Red Line)

Registration: Free, but advanced registration required. Call the FLICC
office to register: (202) 707-4800.
Interpreting services (American Sign Language, Contact Signing, Oral
and/or Tactical) will be provided if requested five (5) business days
in advance of the event. For other ADA Accommodations, please contact

Cancellations: Registrants who find they are unable to attend should
notify FLICC at (202) 707-4800 to allow those on the waiting list to
register.
Future Tours: Other library orientation tours will be scheduled
throughout 1999 to the Government Printing Office, Supreme Court,
Department of the Interior, Naval Observatory, Department of State,
National Library of Medicine, and others.
