I am working on a project about the combining of various types of Libraries
in one facility or even just sharing resources. I am primarily looking at
public/academic/technical libraries being combined with a general type
libraries. Any DOD or federal library that has done this or is doing it
would be of interest. An example might be where a technical library would
be combined with a general library. Or the example of Ft. Carson Post
Library sharing computer resources with the Air Force Academy.
How do you share resources/financing?
Are you in one building?
Do you share staff? If so, who determines who does what?
Who made the decision to combine? Why?
Has it been beneficial to your Library community? If so, how or why
not?
Thank you,
Malinda
