Philadelphia Fantastic presents speculative fiction writer Tom Purdom,
who will read from his recent work on October 23rdth @ 7:30 in the
evening at BIG JAR BOOKS in Olde City, Philadelphia.
Tom Purdom is a well known writer of short stories in science fiction.
He has also been a Philadelphia Culture reviewer for AOL and print
publications. Tom's recent fiction includes such titles as "CANARY
LAND"(Asimov's, 1997; also in David Hartwell's YEAR'S BEST SF , 1998),
"CIDER" ( Asimov's , 1996), "ROMANCE IN LUNAR G" (Asimov's 1995),
"SEPOY' (INVADERS, Ace Books, 1993, Dann and Dozois, eds) "FOSSIL
GAMES" (Asimov's 1998) ,"THE NOISE OF THEIR JOYE" (Asimov's1998)
Philadelphia Fantastic presents a series of readings by local writers
of speculative fiction--science fiction, fantasy, horror--on the fourth
Friday of the month. Our new location is Big Jar Books, 55 N. 2nd
Street Philadelphia, PA (located between the Larry Becker Gallery and
the Artists' House), the time is 7:30 pm.
Hear Tom Purdom in person while soaking up the ambiance of
Philadelphia's pocket community of the arts.
