Hello to Everyone!
I've just gone to the Learning Page and am really excited about the new
interface. Since I'm in the process of preparing a presentation for NCaect
next month, I'm glad to see that the lesson ideas are more accessible.
If any of you will be in Raleigh for the NCaect conference March 4-5, I
will be presenting the project on the Great Depression that Jackie Brooks
and I designed as 1997 Fellows. Although Jackie probably will not be able
to present with me, we are really excited about showing off what her
students were able to do as a result of working with American Life
Histories. This presentation will also give us a chance to show off the new
look at the American Memory Collection.
On another note, I've really enjoyed the "Best Practices" discussion. I
plan to share Arnold's 4 rules with our teachers and with Wake County media
specialists. And even though I'm in a middle school with only 12 networked
computers, Peter's comments really rang true.
