Hi Mr. Widener,
My understanding of the RDF is that it will be a way to search across
various metadata descriptive schemes, by allowing a user to use a
vocabulary with which s/he is familiar. This query would then
be translated into queries compatible with other RDF-mapped descriptive
vocabularies.
Although EAD documents (or "instances" as I often see them called; why?)
can be rich with metadata, I am sure you have noticed an absence of EAD
search engines out on the Web. Until larger indexes of EAD sites are
available, an RDF mapping of the EAD encoding scheme seems unlikely to me.
My brief $.02 worth,
Chuck
