Date: February 1999
Subject: An Audio Bible on the Internet
It is now possible to read the entire audio Bible on the
Internet. Audio-Bible is the complete King James Version
narrated by Alexander Scourby. Total listening time is more
than seventy-two hours.
A link "for the visually impaired" presents the user with a
menu of all the books of the Bible. Selecting a book brings
up a menu of chapters in that book. Selecting a chapter
begins the narration.
To listen to Audio-Bible on the Internet, a user must be
running Windows. In addition, a browser capable of playing
the RealAudio format is required or the free RealAudio
player must be installed. RealAudio software is available
from http://www.real.com.
