Bradbury also wrote a similar vignette into one of his novels (Dandelion
Wine? Somethiong Wicked?) about an elderly woman walking home from the movies
who is convinced she is being followed, but then realizes her foolishness when
she arrives safely at home - until she goes to turn on the light.... anyway,
which came first, the Bradbury or the Clarke??? Inquiring minds want to know
- ttfn - Jill.
p.s. I read this first in a collection of short stories, then read it again in
the novel.
