Librarian for Talking Book Library
The Pinellas Public Library Cooperative (PPLC) seeks
applications for a Librarian to supervise its subregional
library for people with disabilities. The applicant must
have supervisory experience, dedication to service for those
with disabilities, a working knowledge of the American with
Disabilities Act, computer skills, and public relations
skills.
The Pinellas Talking Book Library (TBL) is one of eleven
subregionals in Florida, has recently implemented the
Keystone Library Automated System (KLAS) system for patron
records, and has a basic clientele of 5,000 people and
potential for about 15,000 total users county wide. The TBL
is part of the PPLC operations and is to move into a larger
facility in Clearwater this summer.
Benefits include health insurance, pension plan, holidays,
and sick and annual leave. Salary: $32,000, negotiable.
Candidate must have an MLS from an American Library
Association-accredited program and must provide a minimum of
