It was I who thought the bunnies might be from THE PRISONER, though they
did look more like NIGHT OF THE LEPUS material...albeit that film wasn't
credited, as far as I saw. Clearly, though, they were meant to suggest
ALICE. The rabbits are indeed on the tv in the room where the possibly
"One" children are waiting.

Did anyone else find it a bit discomforting on that old semiological
level that the One should be a "white" man led to his ultimate greatness
by a "black" man and a "white" woman (thank you, my loyal sidekicks)?
Made it an easier sell in the pitch meetings? Contrast Lela's good point
about making Ripley the ultimate heroine of the ALIEN series...while
women as heroes of explosion movies, even excellent ones such as THE LONG
KISS GOODNIGHT, seem not to be able to capture the target audience all
that well. Sigh.
