We are just concluding Daniel V. Pitti's EAD course here at Rare Book
Anyone on this list from Washington DC from other than LC? Not that I
have anything against LC but if DCPL wants to partner with someone it
should be the universities and smaller institutions.
We'd like to create a next generation "Collections: DC"--how about
Collections DC is a bit orphaned at the moment but I hope to get it on our
new online catalog or website. The 2000 MARC records could be
enhances/augmented by EAD records.

You might wonder "why not just use RLIN?" We'd love to, but it really
helps us to have a database devoted to/delimited to Washington DC studies.
So I expect we'll be going to NEH next year and IMLS.
So, I need to find people at the universities and other Collections:DC
respondents with finding aids to convert, money to do it, a server to
house it on, etc.
