Subj: PCC records without matching authority records

It is possible that there may be other PCC records without authority
records to back them up if catalogers have only saved the authority
records and not yet contributed them to the national file. This is
another reason that I have repeatedly encouraged RLIN NACO
participants, and PCC members in particular, to regularly review,
revise, and contribute their saved records. Technically, a PCC
record without a matching authority record distributed and available
to users is not a kosher PCC record.

Regularly procedures for NACO participants should include a regular
review of all saved records to make sure there are not records that
need to be contributed.
