You mentioned that the translations for anime is problematic at best.
Just a warning to anyone who might buy anime, BUY THE SUBTITLES NOT THE
DUBBED ONES, I recently bought "Ghost in the Shell", an excellent movie by
the way, I could not believe the attrocious quality of the acting. After
seeing just how good the script and art were, I went out and bought the
subtitled copy. I don't know anything for sure about why the acting was so
bad, but one of my friends suggested that they might have had the
translators doing the acting, any truth to this.
