The Application Guidelines (pp. 47-48) recommend using the "3-letter code"
from ISO 639-2 for the LANGMATERIAL attribute to the tag <archdesc> to
indicate the language of the collection materials.
1) If you have multiple languages in a collection, do you indicate the
*primary* language only? I assume there is no way to represent more than one
language here.
2) Where does one find this list of 3-letter codes?? I've checked all the
usual resources and find ISO 639 easily, which has 2-letter codes for
languages. The Guidelines don't have any further information on this that I
can find.
Thanks for any help!
